Testimony by John Lyonga Lifanie.
3rd December 2003 Dear brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ in London and America
First, I want to thank God for Cameroon and that my country should move out of spiritual blindness which is darkness.
Secondly before my testimony, I also thank God for brother Buz and brother Paul for their hard work here in Cameroon and the town of Buea in particular where you find God's majestic creation Mount Fako or Mount Cameroon.
For me, I will only compare the state which I find myself now to that of a blind man from birth to have sight of 39 years which here reflect my real age. “I want to thank God”. As the veil of the temple was torn into two when Christ died on the cross so has the scales of my eyes been washed away.
What I've learned and inherited are:-
- All along I'd believed in religious denomination, its empire and its hierarchy therein contrary to Act of Apostle 2:21 “And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” So I need Christ in me and not religious denomination or congregation. This is one of the scales removed.
- In Christ and according to the New Testament principle, once I'm in Christ it just all of me not past of me. That's why he died on the cross for me. Therefore my spirit, body, assert and property belong to Christ. So Christ is ALL. The old principle of one tenth brings me to tight and how it is collected in religious denomination and example being the Apostolic Church which I belonged. Biblically, what I'd learned now was satanic (full of pride and prejudice in the eyes of God) Now I've learnt that Christ has all and how it has to be given to the Church (i.e. His body the local church in Buea which is an organ in the body of Christ and in God's economy).
- In all of Romans chapter 7. Dear brethren, the saints, I was astonished to understand that this passage spells and clear that the devil (Satan) dwells in me. As long as I carry out its work, he is there quiet knowing well that I'm a captive verse 15 which he seized through the Commandment verse 11. In verse 24, I find myself as a wretched man and who will deliver me. Verse 25 gives me victory through Jesus Christ. And now in Romans 8:1 there is now then no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I'm elated and full with the Holy Spirit. Glory be to God. As a human, to contain the departure of brothers Buz and Paul is very difficult, I feel like crying because at any given time when I think of the right way to carry on God's economy, I think of them. I only have to continue fervently for the Body of Christ to grow in other parts of Cameroon.
I also want to thank God for the Living Stream Ministry for the Editorial of the New Testament Recovery Version and the Hymns offered me by my dear brothers.
For brothers Buz and Paul, please extend my greetings to your families in Christ Jesus Amen.
Brother
